The Congo river/Zaire

The Congo river, also known as the Zaire river is located in the northwester part of Africa. Is the largest river western Central Africa. It empties into the Atlantic Ocean. The river flows east at first but then south. the river also flows border between the Republic of Congo and Zaire. However, most of the Congo lie within the Zaire area. It is 3,000 miles long and drains more than 1,600,000 square miles of Africa. The width of the Congo vary between 3.5 to 7 for most of the river and getting up to 8 miles wide at the mouth at the Mongala river

The Congo flow generally westwards from kisangani just below the falls, then gradually bends southwards passing by Mbandaka, joining the Ubang iriver, and into the running pool malebo.
